The following pictures were taken shortly after we returned from Missoula. Evidently, one of our infrequent residents was burning trash at the North end of the valley and it got out of hand. The South wind (quite strong that day) swept the fire South and Southwest. About 80% of meadow was torched, but no houses were touched.

So, the responsible party/parties will be paying the bill, right?
We’re not Montana residents and are not familiar with the regulations so I can’t say for sure. But everyone tells me that the responsible parties will be billed.
What the hell was he thinking…he needs to pay for what he caused. A very ignorant move..he better be making amends to all who won’t be able to enjoy the beauty this summer. Time I think to sue for lost usage and smoke damage to structures..
