First time fishing this trip.
Rock Creek flows are up a bit, tobacco colored with about 2 ft visibility with a water temp of 39 degrees. Started fishing at 4:00 PM, skies overcast, very light drizzle and by 5:00 PM I had caught and LLR’d 5 nice fish, one of which I was a large, thick Brownie. My sixth fish was a fiesty 15″ cuttie (pic to left).
I might go back to sharpening my hooks, a practice I gave up a few years ago. However, I think a razor sharp hook might be just the ticket because it seems I lose more fish than I used to.
LLR = Long Line Release a skill practiced by only the most adept of fishermen.
