The picture to the left is “the beat”. It constitutes our water front in back of our cabin. It’s about 75 yards long and constitutes one of the best stretches on the river. More generally, it’s part of the “magic mile” – a stretch of river extending from mile marker 20 South about a mile or so.
This morning the river was clear, a little high, with a temp of 39 degrees. Saw some mayflies coming off yesterday afternoon, but given the water temps and flow, I’m gonna go with double nymphs tomorrow.
