Even though our existing system has more than enough power for our personal needs — Coffee brewer, DVD/TV player, 2 computers, LED lights throughout and an in-ground well-pump, we are anticipating more guests this season and we want to able to have more than enough power.
These pictures of our existing system were taken in mid-April last year immediately after installation.
Guest cabin with 3 Solar Panels
The system consists of 3 solar panels and 4 Trojan L16 batteries. This spring we’re going to double that capacity to 6 panels and 8 batteries.
The picture below and to the right is another, closer view of the solar panels. To the left and below are the charge coupler and inverter. No changes are planned for these components.
